Wren Madden is thrilled to be starting a year-long stretch at a remote field site in Madagascar. After being dumped by the alpha male of her primatology program, she’s looking forward to focusing on what matters: her lemur research. Then Dr. Nathaniel Davis, a gentle and brain postdoc, arrives at the field site. Despite being intimidated by Wren, Nathaniel is instantly smitten, but Wren can’t imagine a romantic relationship that doesn’t detract from her single-minded focus. As the scientists are thrust together in the rainforest, however, Wren finds that Nathaniel is different from other men, offering more sweet support than chest thumping.
